Local Outreach

We believe we are called to share the HOPE of Jesus to our local communities. Here are some ways we accomplish this…

BLESSINGS IN A BACKPACK

Blessings in a Backpack is a unique school-based feeding program. We provide 59 backpacks (Kentville: 30 | Kingston: 29) for 4 different elementary schools! This provides food for the weekend for hungry elementary school children because food programs do not exist on the weekends. We fill the backpacks on Friday and the children take them home and bring them back on Monday. We want to not only fill their stomachs but give them a better chance to succeed in school the following week.

CARING FOR KIDS

Caring For Kids is a ministry that provides the Valley Regional Hospital (Kentville) activity packets for kids. We put together a variety of packets for different age groups in hopes to bring each child hope and joy during a difficult and possibly scary time.

FUNDY FOOD BANK

We financially support and provide non-perishable food items towards the Fundy Inter-church Food Bank. This is a volunteer organization that is committed to providing emergency food relief to individuals and families in Greenwich, Port Williams, New Minas, Kentville, Coldbrook and surrounding areas. (Website)

VALLEY CARE PREGNANCY CENTRE

The Valley Care Pregnancy Centre is a Christian Charity Outreach in Kentville that seeks to offer loving support through decision making tools and support to anyone facing an unplanned pregnancy. New Hope supports and provides financial contributions to this important local ministry. (Website)
